A little about Brandy:
I grew up in family that rehabilitated and trained dogs. My grandmother was a Police K9 Handler, my mother was active in Dog Shows and Schutzhund dogs while working in an animal shelter. This truly sparked my passion with animals. I had the unique advantage of assisting my mother in her multiple endeavors and have never stopped. I have been training/rehabilitating shelter dogs/rescues since I was 13yrs of age. Working with dogs from all backgrounds, all breeds, and all issues from fear to aggression, from over stimulated to zero stimulation.
After developing a love for dobermans, I became an integral part of the local breed rescue as a professional behavioral evaluator and consultant for going on 7yrs. Due to my interactions with various medical cases along the way, I have been fortunate to have garnered tons of experience in medical rehabilitation and consulting in nutrition, exercise and basic health. After serving 7yrs in the military, I finally had the time to fully pursue my passions.
I began titling in AKC and Schutzhund/IPO/IGP. I also found myself always trying to learn new techniques and styles from all disciplines from lure coursing, agility, carting, barn hunt, earthdog, flyball, dock diving, to hunting dogs, Search and Rescue, and everything in between and beyond. My day to day life is centered around my dogs. I love sharing my knowledge with others and learning new things.

I never use one method as I think every dog and handler are unique. The handler’s comfort level, physical abilities, and temperament are just as important factors as the dogs’s. I work towards the handler’s goals and will adjust techniques as we learn what works best for both. My tool box is huge so I welcome challenges. If its something I have never seen then I do my research and work conservatively. I also like to really find the true causes for the behaviors from both Handler and dog to resolve them at the root cause rather than to just treat the symptoms. I have spent many hours researching and learning theory from modern psychology and other trainers. I am open to any tool that helps promote a healthy, safe and mutually benefiting relationship between dog and handler.
A good dog trainer will rarely call themselves an expert in anything other than learning. With every dog and every situation, it is a Dog trainer/Dog Behaviorist’s job to LEARN the dog, LEARN the handler and work on creating tools to aid in communication and building a better relationship between handler and dog. By teaching tools, you teach THE HANDLER how to train the dog.
All of my clients know that I expect them to be 100% committed and open to learning the tools I can provide or I can’t do my job. They would also express my approach as compassionate, direct, consistent, adaptive and expectant. My ideal client is someone who has an open mind, can handle constructive feedback, committed, determined, willing to change habits and possibly lifestyles and willing to give it their ALL. I want my clients to feel comfortable with me as much as I want to be comfortable with them. I want to create lasting partnerships and open communication with my clients. At the end of the day, I expect my clients to give as much as I do.

Dobermans:
My HEART and SOUL is Dobermans!!! I love all dogs and critters but if I had to choose one breed, it would be them. I have spent a good many years researching everything I can about them. Where they come, why they are here, what makes a Doberman a Doberman, quirks, traits, health issues, etc.. I study bloodlines, research data, historical documents, speak with various breeders, have worked over a 100 different dobermans from all walks of life. They are a very different working breed and many of their traits can be rooted to their purpose for creation. However, I never blanket coat and have seen my fair share of Dobes that don’t act like Dobes. I have been breeding, training, titling and rescuing dobermans for over 1oyrs now. I’m far from old and wise, but every day, I strive to learn more and keep my breed alive for generations to come.

Conclusion:
I am a wealth of knowledge and always looking for those who share my passion to pass it on to. Please let me know if I sound like a good fit for you. If not please let me what your looking for, as I know a lot of trainers, breeders, handlers, etc and would love to help any committed dog lover.
